I just rediscovered this blog! It has definitely been a long time and I am mulling over whether or not to reinvent this. Details shall be forthecoming :)

Well....

I made it. Everything is done. Sorry for not updating this regularly, but life happens.

I'm at home and I don't really care to be here. Bah, this whole "life" thing is working out differently than I had previously thought. Either way, I gradumacated and moved out. I'm in Dyer now. Ryan is staying with my family and I for probably another week and the going home for a while. I have lots of videos and pictures to show but that will come later since I just hooked my pc up and everything I own is still in boxes either in my rooms or in the basement. Oh and I got my Narae yesterday! How exciting and perfect timing!! Woot! She's REALLY pretty. :D

er... I'm also thinking of buying another doll that I'm talking with the owner about. Enough on that for now though. In regards to my graduation money I am putting it away for my trip to Japan. Ryan is annoying because I understand how to save up and stuff but he insists that I am not thinking about saving as much as I should be. W/E. So far I have like $1,500 but I don't plan on going for like a year or two. Plus I have to first figure out how long I'm staying (at least 3 months to a year) and then see how much that would cost me!

Um, so yeah I'm just rambling here. If you call me or email me I'll talk more about things in detail! Can't wait to see you and I hope your trip is awesome so far!

The Pressure is On

I don't have to tell you about pressure, I'm sure your feeling it too. I have a week and a half of school left IN MY LIFE! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I have toooo toooo tooooooooooooo much to do this week!

Portfolio:
-Get my package put together.
-Um.. Do my Demo Reel (haha.. I have skillfully avoided working on it all quarter) O.o;

Speech:
-Monday - Persuasive Speech due.
-Next Monday - Artist Statement Speech due
-Next Wed - If I don't have an A then I have to take the final

History:
-Next Monday - My evil Final Exam
-Next Wednesday - Paper due and presentation on it.

Umm... I have a lot more to do for everything but whatever. I also have to hang out with people and see everything I want to before the end. Then I also need to pack up my apartment.

On another note, I'm watching Sweeney Todd! Hooray! lol.
Yesterday I went to a graduation meeting and on my way to Lucas theater (where it was at) I ran into Amanda waiting for John on a corner. She's doing good, apparently she's going to Virginia and staying with John's family for the summer and working with him at Colonial Williamsburg park or whatever. I think that's good for Amanda, she seemed excited about getting dressed up in costume and getting paid for it, which seems fitting. I mentioned to her that maybe in the Fall I can come back to Savannah and visit both you and her. That would be fun right? We tried to work out times to get together but she's working literally every day until the Thursday before graduation. We'll just have to get together after 6pm some day.

Ryan got bumped down to third key since he gave his two weeks notice. It's better than getting fired I guess. Seriously, Gamestop is full of crooks, but whatever. He doesn't have to work as much then, I think he only works 4 days this next week.

Oh and because I can't have a journal entry without dollies... Some Narae's are getting shipped out this weekend - so I'm hoping mine is in the group. If it is I can post pictures this week!!!!!!!
Yay!! Btw, her name is Alice, ignore all the other names I had cause this one is final. AND, as crazy as it may sounds, I'm debating selling my super rare and super hard to find Elf Shiwoos. But I can't say for sure yet, it's just something that crossed my mind. I am, however, thinking about replacing the twins with Volks School A twins. BAH!
Thats enough - I don't want to kill you with doll talk.

I'm going with Ryan to a Gamestop get together at Wasabi's tonight. Since pretty much everyone is quitting they wanted to get together once. I guess pretty much everyone that works there is associated with SCAD. Everyone is bringing their boyfriends or girlfriends along, which is why I'm invited, lol. Either way - Wasabi's is yummy!!

Other than that, I have nothing else to say!

Things are Shaping Up to be Pretty.Odd

Let's see, let's see...

I am feeling the pressure of having to leave here! Bah! It's starting! I have to find people to claim all my stuff, my parents are pressuring me to mail small stuff home, and I have to start canceling services, like gas. Speaking of services, did you know our toilet is broken and it does this running thing? Well, my last water bill was an astronomical $260. Ouch! My water bill is normally $80. Whatever, I have it rigged to not run and I have 3 weeks left.

Not only am I feeling this pressure outside of school, but all my classes are winding down. I have a research paper due next thursday, I have to turn in a speech outline monday for a persuasive speech (btw, what the hell topic should I do???), then I have to do the speech field trip, AND I have to have my second (coughcoughfirstforme) draft of my long demo reel done. Not to mention for portfolio I have to finish up my designs for my website, short reel, AND long reel. RAWR!!

I also have a giant list of things I want to do in Savannah before I have to leave. Some of these things include the beach (at night and during the day), Gryffin Tearoom (goat cheese for the road!), and Ryan still needs to visit the Whimsical Teacup. I also want to go to the Jepson and Telfair museums considering I've never been there. Oh and FYI Sara, they completely tore down that Chinese restaurant my O-House. From what I heard they're gonna build office buildings there.

Speaking of that, I had lunch with Eric and his girlfriend last weekend. That was somewhat interesting! I hadn't really talked to Eric in what? three years? He's doin alright, he's going to grad school so he'll be here next year with you Sara! Hahahaha. Oh and last week Ryan and I went to the Sand Arts contest! But Ryan had to work at 2pm so we couldn't see everybody's works completed but it was still fun!

Jumping to this week, we saw IronMan. Man!! I loved it! Personally I think Robert Downey Jr, is awesome - so I am biased, but I think he did an amazing job! Out of all the crappy super hero movies they make I must say IronMan has earned the title of my second favorite movie, outside of the amazing Batman!! OMG, the new Batman trailers. I think I'm going to die! I can't wait!! The joker is seriously... Amazing! Haha, I'm really excited for that movie - and Indiana Jones, too. Except I don't like that Transformers kid. I hope they don't make more Indiana Jones movies with him as the new Indiana. I would seriously write the directors and tell them they suck if they did that. Oh and when I was getting out of Ryan's clown car I hit my knee on the dashboard. It was crazy, it hurt like HELL! Then when we were waiting to be let into the theater I felt my knee and it had swelled up!! Now I have this nasty looking bruise on my left knee, I think Ryan's car should offer compensation in the form of gas. He could just siphon it into mine. :\

Kitty is currently laying with his face inches from the wall. WTF kitty. Maybe the woodgrain is interesting. Either way he's been pretty docile lately. He just wants playtime.

Sara:
Here is a list off the top of my head of things that I'm not keeping- if anything sounds remotely interesting let me know and I'll throw it in your storage unit for ya.

Kitchen:
Microwave, Conventional Oven, and those video game chairs.

Living Room:
Some of those cool black storage units that Ryan and I made. I want to keep them but Ryan doesn't think they'll fit in the cars. Psh. Also, the couches, big gray rug, coffee tables, and tv stand.

Bathroom:
That black organizer thing. I don't want it - if you want it - its yours.

My Room:
Full Mattress, Full Bedframe, White storage unit, Nightstand, Computer chair, and all the carpet squares/rugs in my room.

Ryan's Room:
Twin Mattress (hey you can have 2 like my old roommate), my computer desk, or possibly Ryan's. I don't know if he's keeping it or not - I don't remember.

There's also cork boards, fans, smaller lamps, rugs, probably cleaning materials and brooms and stuff. I'm probably gonna toss out my vacuum but its not very good. I donno, if you call me Sunday we can talk about it.

AND I WANT MY STUPID NARAE!!!! ARRRRGGHHHH. The doll people said she'd be here before I move on June 1st, but that doesnt make me feel to sure. Oh and recently I've gotten into mulling over the lip ring again. One day I want it, the next I dont. So on one day when I wanted it I looked up things I would need to know before doing it, and people kept talking about scar tissue and stuff. WELL. Anything regarding scar tissue on my face changes my mind! Not saying I won't want to do it again someday, but for now I am content that I don't need it- so you win Sara :P

Oh and next time I'll share pics from my portfolio layout stuff.

And yes, my hair is getting longer! It's not as long as it was Freshman year but it's getting there. Whoo hoo!

This one is for you Sara... Hahaha!

Last but not least...

You better be good cause...
HE'S WATCHING YOU!!
O_O

I could prattle on for a while more but I don't feel like wasting your time like that! So go on.. get outta here!!

Ummm.. Hi!

Busy Busy Busy. That's me.

I'm typing this up as I sit here and eat a baked potato for lunch. Note to Sara: I have perfected it - 1 Baked Potato in the microwave for TEN minutes, remove, foil for 15. I guess you nuke em for 20 when it's two potatoes.

Anywho, I don't quite remember what you have been filed in on and what you have not.
Midterms are over and I am glad. I did pretty good on my Speech test, my Informative speech sucked (but somehow I got an 88%), and overall I survived. I sent my new doll head to Canada. Then on Wednesday I sat through 3 classes in a row. Ouch. I went to my speech class at 8am, then I sat in on a portfolio class at 11am, and then history at 2pm. Needless to say I was very tired that day.

Thursday Ryan and I left for Orlando around noon. It was a decent drive. We made it to Orlando and searched around International Drive for a hotel. We stayed somewhere sort of ghetto but not as bad as where we were originally going to stay and it was only $70 for the night. Then we went to Downtown Disney and to the concert. It was a lot of fun and each band was good. The concert started around 6:30 which is early to me and we got out around 10:30pm. A total of 4 bands played and I really didn't know anything about the other bands except for Panic. Either way, it was fun and then Ryan and I went to Perkins at midnight. After that we went back to the hotel and went to bed. The next day we checked out and went to Bahama Breeze and then drove back to Savannah. It was disappointing only being in Orlando for such a short time but we had to get back because Ryan's mom was in town.

So Friday we met up with Ryan's mom around 7ish and went to Forsythe to see Jaws. First we went to Parkers to get some food and made a mock picnic. It was pretty fun. Then Saturday we got up early and went to Forsythe again for the Sidewalk Arts Fest. Ryan and I got a square in the Alumni section and it was sooooooo nice. We had a lot of space and no one was really next to us. So you know about Murphy's law? Well, after we had been working for about an hour or two it started to rain. Yup. It rained heavily for about 30 min and then stopped but that was just enough to completely wash away our work and leave the puddles everywhere. So, that was lame. Ryan and I were and still are very disappointed because we were excited about how our square was coming along. So we came home and relaxed most of the afternoon and watched Juno. Then later we went with Ryan's mom to Uncle Bubba's and it was REALLY good.

Sunday we took Ryan's mom to Tybee and spent the afternoon at the beach. It was a beautiful day. A group of windboarders or whatever they are were there with these giant kite things and were surfing up and down the beach and we kept marveling at how they managed to surf around all the people AND not kill anyone with the strings from their kites. It was fun. Then we took Ryan's mom back to her hotel and we all walked over to City Market and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings. Ryan's mom gave me a card and some money for graduation (which is cool) and then we called it a night. Other than that I've just been balancing doing nothing and getting enough done to look like I'm working, LoL.

OH, next time I post I'll have to fill you in on our stupid neighbor lady and how she wants to kill Bossy and Tiger Kitties - but it must wait because I have to get ready for class.

This is the Escher piece we were using for our square.
We were only doing the top half.

Here's how it looked at the time it started raining.

I don't know why I put a picture of myself here...

Warren is soooooooo cute and he looks like a girl!

Dun Dun Dun

Pretty Blue Box

Box Mummy - Protector of Box

Nakie Doll

Pink Hair

Femmy Pink Hair

Yup, she arrived about a half hour after my previous post. I'm getting used to her body because the only company I've ever owned dolls from is Luts and every company has a different sculpt. Since she's an artist doll and not really from a bigger company she is huge. Seriously huge. I have to sell off almost all the stuff I bought for her because it won't fit. She is strung very tightly and makes a lot of squeaky noises right now, but she poses like a dream. I would have no reserve about standing her up and then leaving the room for a while. So far I'm really liking her, I keep finding myself staring at her or I'll pick her up just to pose her and then put her somewhere close by. I still really need to buy her a black wig or two, but the pink ones work for now. I paid the faceup lady a while ago, probably almost 3 weeks ago, but some SCAD people might get together next weekend so I think I'll hang on to her head until after that. Then her head is going to Canada to get beautiful! This is the first time I've ever sent a doll head off to get painted! Woot. Then I need to start making clothes because companies don't make clothes in her size. Oi.

I don't know what I'm going to call her, I think I'll just wait until she gets her hair and face all set and then I'll see if I want to keep her name the same or change it. Either way, I'm happy and now I want my flipping Narae!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!

Holy Crap!

Sorry! I'm usually bad at keeping journals and blogs and things - and you'll soon see why. I've had a livejournal before and I kept up with it for a while, but now I can barely even remember my account name. I think it was Make_a_wish21. Either way, things are going alright down here.

-I got a 91 on my last speech.
-I have yet to find out my history test grade, but I'm fairly certain its not good.
-I love that silly Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village game.
-Ryan's Phantasy Star Online game puts me in a meditative/calm mood so we both play a lot.
-I'm starting to really like that Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant downtown - they have awesome spinach dip!
-I'm no longer concerned about finding a game industry job right out of school. I'm comfortable about it too.
-The doll meet was this past Saturday at the Whimsical Tea Cup.
-Ryan's mom is flying down to visit for the weekend of the Sidewalk Arts Fest, there is drama with this - but I don't feel like typing it here.
-Ryan and I will probably just share one square under his name - this way we can work in the less crowded Alumni section at the SAF.
-Ryan and I are going to Orlando in about 2 weeks for the Panic at the Disco concert!! Woot!
-I won a dolly sweater that is SO "me" off of Yahoo Japan, but lost a dress I really liked too.

Soon to be Mine - for only $25.

Sadly, Not Mine - It sold for $160 -
I wouldn't go higher than $75 :(

Ok, That was my summary.
The only thing that I didn't really touch on was the dolly meet. I was kinda afraid to go because I don't like doing things like that alone, but it turned out totally cool. My old friend Billie, who graduated with Ryan, was there and we proceeded to chit chat for about four hours. She's actually living right next to where Amanda's old apartment was on Habersham. The doll meet moved quite a bit, starting at Whimsical Tea Cup and moving to the Fountain at Forsythe. Then we got rained or rather drizzled out and we decided to go to the Metro cafe. It was pretty fun and I hadn't really talked to Billie in a long time so I'm glad I ended up going.
